Other Supplies: White Fabric, Grey Fabric, Mint Fabric, Patterned Fabric, White Thread, Sewing Needle, Cushion Inner
- Die cut 12 patterned, 13 mint and 25 grey fabric triangles.
- With one grey and one mint triangle, sew a half inch seam down the longest side of the triangles making sure right sides are together.
- Iron the seam to one side.
- Repeat steps 2-3 another 12 times. You should have 13 grey and mint squares in total.
- With one grey and one patterned fabric, sew a quarter inch seam down the longest side of the triangles making sure right sides are together.
- Iron the seam to one side.
- Repeat steps 5-6 another 11 times. You should have 12 grey and patterned squares in total.
- Next arrange your squares into rows of 5, alternating mint and patterned fabrics.
- Sew the squares in their rows of 5, making sure you sew right sides together, with a quarter inch seam. Iron the seams to one side.
- You should now have 5 rows.
- With two of the rows, put right sides together and sew down the longest side with a quarter inch seam.
- Repeat process with the other 3 rows. Iron the seams to one side.
- You should now have your cushion cover.
- Cut out a square with the white fabric that’s the same size as your cushion cover.
- Pin these two pieces of fabric right sides together.
- Sew round three sides of the cushion in white thread with a quarter inch seam.
- Cut the corners. Make sure you don’t snip through the threads you’ve just sewn.
- Turn right way round.
- Iron the open edge of the cushion inwards a quarter inch.
- Put the cushion inner inside the cushion cover.
- Hand sew the open edge with white thread to finish.
