Other Supplies: Grey fabric, Elastic 14” long, Safety Pin, Glue gun, Hand Sewing needle, White thread, Sewing machine
- Cut two pieces of grey fabric, one measuring 8” x 6.5”, the other measuring 14” x 4”.
- Fold the piece measuring 8” x 6.5” and sew with a half inch seam. It should now measure 8” x 3.25”.
- Turn inside out using the safety pin.
- Fold the piece measuring 14” x 4” and sew along the long side with a half inch seam allowance.
- Turn inside out using the safety pin.
- Next attach the pin to the end of the elastic and thread it through the thinner piece of grey fabric.
- Scrunch the fabric so the elastic has room to stretch. The length should now measure approximately 10”.
- Sew at each end with a half inch seam allowance to secure the scrunch.
- Fold under the ends of the fabric measuring 8” x 3.25” to hide the raw edges and press in place.
- Tuck the ends of the thinner piece of fabric with the elastic sewn in, inside the piece of fabric measuring 8” x 3.25”to make the band. Hand sew in place.
- Iron on iron on adhesive onto a square of patterned fabric and remove the backing.
- Die cut your bow and assemble.
- Glue gun the bow in place.
