You will notice that this weeks make has a very short list of materials, that's because I want to show the beauty of the dies without hiding behind any fancy techniques. The make itself is fairly straight forward but I couldn't resist using this set because the character of the sloth is so cute and so well designed. I would buy this set for the flowers and foliage alone!
Here are the dies all layed out. Notice the crease lines on the face of the sloth which make it easy to register the other die-cut parts perfectly. This is something that Tim Holtz has taken to the next level but you will have to wait for his chapter 3 releases to see what I mean!
all the elements cut and ready to go, love those colours ...
see how easy it is to put the sloth together, no guesswork! I printed the sentiment on the base card using my PC before attaching the offset rectangle of aqua blue card and mounting the sloth and branch. Before applying the flowers and leaves I added some dimension using my ever-present Paper Sculpting Kit. After mounting everything in place I added a couple of adhesive gems in the centre of the flowers.
Here is another card which I made to show you what I mean about the wonderful foliage. Tropical makes are very popular at the moment and I'm so lucky to work for a company that has it's finger on the creative pulse.
Thanks for stopping by, see you again soon
When will we be seeing you again on Hochanda? Hope we won’t have to wait too long!
