Swan Wall Art
I am having so much fun working with all the new dies from Chapter 1. The hardest part is to choose what to work with first.
I had this little idea pop into my head the other day so decided to start with this and a blog post was the perfect place. I absolutely adore this swan.
It is very simple to create but the results are stunning.
You will need:
Start by choosing the colours you are going to use. This will depend on what room you are making this for.
Place the background felt into the embroidery hoop and pull tight.
Adhere the cream felt for the swan to cardstock and die cut.
Die cut the beak in different colours and adhere the swan to the centre of the hoop.
Adhere the felt for the flowers to matching cardstock and die cut along with the leaves.
Using the tweezers from the Paper Sculpting Kit shape the flowers.
Using a hot glue gun adhere the flowers and the leaves around the swan. Add the centre of the flowers.
Thread some pom pom through the top of the hoop.
I think this is going to be used to decorate my office. I love to be surrounded by pretty things when I am working. I find it is really good for my inspiration.
This would also be perfect for a little girls bedroom as the design is very soft and pretty. I know my teenage daughter would also love this so I might find myself making a second one!
Until next week
