Super Quick Christmas Cards
Hello my dear friends! Welcome back! This is Deepti and I'm here today to share three simple, yet kind of elegant and non-traditional Christmas cards!
- Sizzix Big Shot Express Machine Only (White & Gray)
- Sizzix Bigz Die - Bows
- Colored Card Stocks
- Glitter Card Stock
- Christmas Stamps
- Versamark Ink and Gold and Silver Embossing Powders
- Glue and sequins
I've see Green and Red everywhere, I like those colors but I love making Christmas cards with non-traditional Christmas colors sometimes. So I went with Pink, Peach and Purple colors, pretty unusual for Christmas, right!? ;) But these cards turned out pretty cool in their own way. The touch of the 'glittery golden bows' really added so much elegance to the cards!
I started by die-cutting the bows out of gold glittery card stock and assembled them following the printed instructions on the paper that comes along with the die pack.
I thought it would be a tough task to assemble all these pieces but trust me, it was super easy!
I have pre-scored standard colored card stocks, stamped the sentiments with Versamark Ink pad and heat embossed it with Gold and Silver embossing powders. On Pink card stock I stamped the sentiment with Versamark Ink and left it without heat embossing. Since this ink is a slow drying and sticky ink it creates a water mark effect on the card.
Finally adhered the bows onto the card bases and finished off with a few sparkling clear sequins!
A few more still shots for you :)
I hope you like these cards and give this technique a try! Thank you so much for stopping by. See you next time! :)
