Time to release my inner Princess...

You will need...

Continuing with my series showing off Katie Skilton's dies we will be looking at the Magical Unicorn set.

After die-cutting and assembling the unicorn I gave it a light dusting of spray adhesive before applying the Distress Glitter. To create the background I blended three colours of Distress ink namely Broken China, Mustard Seed and Ripe Persimmon before spritzing with clean water and drying with my heat tool .

After stamping my sentiment I mounted the background and unicorn onto the base card before adding some dew drops using the liquid glass.

I blended the same Distress Ink colours on the white card before spritzing as before and die-cutting the rainbow. After die-Cutting the clouds I gently inked the base of each shape using the Broken China pad to give a sense of dimension. After applying Distress Glitter to both the clouds and rainbow I added some liquid glass dew drops.

I added the stamped sentiment to the base card before mounting the die-cuts using adhesive foam pads.

I used the Distress Ink colours Faded Jeans, Peacock Feathers and Seedless Preserves to create the background before spritzing and die-cutting with a Framelits circle. I applied the stamped sentiment to both the base card and die-cut circle before carefully overlapping them after which I used a white gell pen to add highlights to the letters. Next, I blended the same colours used in the first two makes onto white card card before die cutting all of the stars and the shooting star tail. after assembling the tail I added the Distress Glitter to all the die-cut elements.

I added some more dew drops for good measure and that, my friends is that!

I took these cards to a demo at the Aladdin's cave that is Coleman's Craft Warehouse on Saturday and they were pretty well received I think. Thanks to all the staff at Coleman's for your hard work and constant stream of hot tea and thanks to all the wonderful customers for popping to see me.

Thanks for stopping by, see you all again soon.
