I know that Christmas is a long way off but I also know that many of you have already started making your cards. If you haven't, here's one to get the (snow) ball rolling...
I started by die-cutting two strips before chopping them into three separate sections about 55 mm wide. I inked the tops of the houses and trees with Antique Linen before tearing the base off one of the sections. Next, I used adhesive foam pads to mount them together to create a sense of depth.
I cut a strip of blue card (55 x 130 mm) before unscrewing the top from my Picket Fence Distress Spray. By gently tapping the top of the spray I was able to apply paint splatters onto the blue strip, this is a great technique and easier to control than it looks. Next, I applied some spray adhesive to the landscape before adding Distress Glitter which, unlike white glitter is transparent and allows the colours to come through. Finally, I attached the strip and landscape to a 9 x 18 cm base card.
As you can see, I finished it with a stamped sentiment. too much fun?
Here are a couple more simple cards using the same die.
More Festive makes on the way!
Thanks for stopping by, see you all again soon.
