Here at Sizzix we have a fun new range of mini dies which is perfect for the way I like to work so I've come up with a couple of funky collage cards just in time for Mothers Day here in the UK.
At the time I took this photo I had no idea where I was going to go with this or indeed which of the dies I was going to use! Here is a list of what I used in the end.
- Sizzix Thinlits Die - Pretty Flower by Samantha Barnett (661794)
- Sizzix Thinlits Die - Little Feather by Sophie Guilar (661791)
- Sizzix Thinlits Die - Flower, Scallop (661788)
- Sizzix Thinlits Die - Meadow Leaf by Sophie Guilar (661792)
- Sizzix Framelits Die Set 2PK - Tiny Stars (661782)
- Fly Free Paper Pad by Kaiser craft
I started by stamping the splats using Distress Inks before attaching some wood effect papers and a couple of die-cut stars. Next I die-cut the feather and spiral flowers. I also printed out the word 'MUM' using my trusty Dymo machine.
A pearl brad to finish and here we are!
For the next card I attached some torn pieces of patterned paper and die-cut my flowers and leaves. After stamping my sentiment I added a piece of lace ribbon together with a hand full of artificial stamen.
Mini dies are both fun and inexpensive, what we used to call 'pocket money prices'! I'm sure you will be seeing more of these on this blog in the near future.
Thanks for stopping by!
