Most of the people in our office are in their 20's so there is always an engagement/wedding in the air. Younger people have been turning their backs on the traditional packaged, one-size-fits-all style weddings for some time. Many young couples are looking for something more personal and bespoke and that's where we at Sizzix come in...
The Ticket Booth set is designed by Tim Holtz to work with a set of stamps from his Stampers Anonymous range. I have combined the dies and stamps in the top-left hand image above. I wanted to use one of the dies to create a bespoke invite so I measured the die and used the dimensions to create a template on my PC. I printed out my invites fitting nine onto a single A4 sheet. I used some washi tape to register the die over the design prior to cutting.
after die-cutting the nine tickets I cut nine rectangles from kraft card (85 x 70mm) before rounding off the corners and punching two holes near the top which I then thread with natural twine finished with a bow.
After securing the ticket to the kraft rectangle with a paperclip I mounted it onto an ivory base card (105 x 90mm)
I decided to make nine cards using all the tickets. I only used 1 sheet of white card, 2 sheets of kraft card and three sheets of ivory card and they took me about and hour and a half to complete from the moment I printed the tickets.
I will be featuring the Ticket Booth dies on Hochanda at the end of April in a Tim Holtz special launch.
Thanks for stopping by, see you again soon
