My name is Kath and I’m delighted to be back on the Sizzix blog to share a project with you using dies from Tim Holtz Chapter 1 and 2 release. To Make

Step 1. Trim Distress Watercolor card to create a 4.1/2” x 6.1/2” panel. Spritz with Worn Lipstick and Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide Sprays. Spritz lightly with water using the Distress Sprayer, blot with kitchen towel and heat to dry.

Step 2. Add strips of Tim Holtz Idea-ology Correspondence Design Tape and add shading around the edge with Ground Espresso Distress Oxide ink using a mini round blending tool. Use Tim Holtz Distress Tool on the edges of the panel.

Step 3. Fix Sizzix Adhesive Sheet to the back of Black Classic Kraftstock and Silver Metallic Kraftstock and sand lightly to reveal the kraft core. Use the Sizzix Retro Type BigZ die to die-cut the typewriter from the black and silver card, remove the self adhesive backing from the black card and assemble. Use the waste from the silver die-cut to paper piece the carriage section, keys and space bar.

Step 4. Die-cut the largest circle from Silver Metallic Kraftstock and the next size circle from Black Classic Kraftstock using the Sizzix Stacked Circle Thinlits.

Step 5. Trim a piece of Distress Watercolor card to fit in the slot of the typewriter, apply a coat of Distress Collage Medium Vintage and add shading around the edge using Ground Espresso Distress Oxide ink and a mini round blending tool. Die-cut the sentiment from Black Classic Kraftstock using the Sizzix Alphanumeric Tiny Type Upper and Lower Thinlits. Remove the self adhesive backing paper and fix the letters in place. Fix the typewriter in place with Distress Collage Medium Matte at the bottom edge and Sizzix Mini Foam Adhesive behind the sentiment section.

Step 6. Die-cut “TYPE” from Silver Metallic Kraftstock using the Alphanumeric Tiny Type Upper Thinlits and fix to the Stacked Circle die-cuts.

Step 7. Punch a line of holes along the top edge of the panel and snip into each circle to create a “torn out of a notebook” effect.

Step 8. Add a Stacked Circle to the top of the panel and hearts die-cut from Distress Watercolor card coloured with Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide ink using Falling Hearts Thinlits. Matt the panel on to a slightly larger panel of Kraft Card and fix to the White 5” x 7” card blank.

I hope you have enjoyed my tutorial.
