Fun with Making Essentials
Last week I had the pleasure of being invited to Colemans Craft Warehouse to take part in their demo day. What a fabulous place with fabulous people.
I wanted to create some projects showing different ways to use our new Making Essentials and I had great fun having a play with all these products.
Using the Glue Gun and the Glue Gun Accessories these hearts look like so much more than standard cardstock. I have simply added hot glue to cardstock and added texture using the Glue Gun Accessories. Once dried I die cut the hearts. The good dots were created using the hot Glue Gun. Once dry I added gold wax.
The Whale and the hearts were created using Shrink Plastic. I die cut the hearts and whale. Coloured them with the Permanent Pens and stamped some detail. I heated it with a heat gun and added them onto a card.
The hearts were created as above.
This journal was created by die cutting the journal cover and covering with hot glue. I painted over the whole cover with black gesso. Once dry I added the colour using acrylic paint and added dimension to the hot glue by adding gold wax. The same technique was used on the heart.
This card was created using the same technique as above.
Using the Hot Glue Gun I have written the word 'smile' and drawn the heart onto the Heat Resistant Mat. Once dry I removed them and sprayed with silver spray. The heart has been created using Shrink Plastic and coloured with the Permanent Pens.
This is one of my favourites. I die cut the Whale and added the hot glue. Once dry I added black gesso and acrylic paint. I then added silver wax to add dimension to the glue. It has been placed into a simple white frame which really sets off the design.
It was really good fun working with these products and seeing all the different results that come from them.
Thank you to everyone who came to see me on Saturday.
Until next week ...
