DIY Door Hanger
Hello, friends! This is Jasleen and today I’m sharing a quick idea for making floral door hangers Sizzix® Thinlits™ Die Set 10PK - Mix & Match Flowers (661097) by Lori Whitlock and Sizzix® Bigz™ Die - Caged Bird (656634).
Chipboard (from a discarded packaging box), Pattern papers-Lawn Fawn, White card stock, pearls, rhinestones, glue, synthetic feathers, Baker’s twine, thread-white and silver, etc.
- I die cut a couple of chipboard ‘cage’ pieces from the Sizzix Bigz Caged Bird die set. I love how easy it is to cut thick chipboard with the help of Bigz dies. They give such a clean cut always.
- Then I obtained some small floral die cuts from the Sizzix Mix and Match flowers die set using patterned papers in different colours. The best thing about this die set is that there’s no hard and fast rule to arrange the floral die cuts only one particular way. We can mix and match them the way we wish to, hence the name.
- I stacked the two chipboard cage pieces together to form a thicker piece and adhered the patterned paper die cuts over both the sides.
- Then I embellished it using the flowers, thread, leaves, feathers, pearls and stones. Finally added the sentiment and a twine and it’s ready to adorn the door of my home. ;)
