  2. Summer wedding - double wedding ring cushion

    Now summer is here a lot of weddings are planned - so I thought I'd revisit the Double Wedding Ring Die - this time making the simpler version, and actually completing the cushion cover - Now it's not the simplest of patchwork designs but it's worth the effort - double wedding ring
  3. Downton - half hex complete

    I'm continuing the half hexagon theme from last week and have completed the small quilt using fabrics from the Downton Abbey range of fabrics. It's a bit of a challenge laying out the design but the making is easy - and makes a fun quilt - downton - half hex complete
  4. Sewing tote bag

    I'm still using the shapes I cut whilst demonstrating our machines and dies at Quilts UK, at Malvern in May. This week I'm showcasing a bag I made using half hexagons - these fabrics were bought for me by a friend and I'm so happy that I've used them to make a bag to help me carry all my sewing things. half hexagon tote bag
  5. Pineapple pincushion

    After I had made the pineapple placemat a colleague suggested that I could make a 3D pineapple pincushion - pineapple pincushion this is so cute, even though I say it myself!!! and only uses one die
  6. Trio of Diamonds

    I thoroughly enjoyed Quilts UK at Malvern last week – and as always came home with a bag full of cut pieces – this time I decided to use them straight away – so today I have a trio of projects diamonds – each one using the same die – and even the same fabrics but giving very different results. trio of diamonds
  7. Pineapple placemat

    Summer's coming - long evenings, friends round for drinks. So how about some new placemats - pineapple placemat Pineapples seem to be popping up everywhere in the shops - so here's an easy make - and they could be made into coasters if you prefer -
  8. Summer love - t-shirt and jeans

    For the moment the sun is shining - and I hope that summer has arrived!! However, as the sun seems to be playing hide and seek with us in the UK, I decided that a summer project had to be a quick to make - so about 2 -3hours work and we have this - summer love -hearts t-shirt and jeans Suitable for a day at the beach or just fun in the garden - and obviously you can embellish any size and colour - for children or adults -
  9. Happy Hexagon Cushion

    I do love a little hexagon project - and this one is  very fresh pretty in spring colours - hexagon cushion As I've made it using wadding as the template there is no need to quilt (unless you want to) and it will only take a few evenings - I'm tempted to make some more for my garden chairs. You can pop the project into your bag to work on whenever you have a few moments to spare - what's not to like? -  
  10. To the moon and back ( with Tim Holtz (bigz die) )

    Today is Jo's birthday, and so I thought I'd make her a present  - or 3 - to the moon and back trio   - I got a little carried away, using this fun alphabet die by Tim Holtz -
