Adding Decoration To Home Decor
Hello there ...
Are you a crafter that saves all those die-cuts that you have not yet used? Today I am looking at ways to put these die-cuts to good use. After all a crafter never throws anything away!
I have had another busy weekend at Hochanda. This weekend was part of the 12 days of Christmas and so I was featuring some gorgeous new Sizzix Christmas dies as well as some favorite essential dies. They were certainly popular! Thank you to everyone who sent messages, emailed and called in. It is always great to see and hear what you are making with your Sizzix collection.
So back to today and back to a lovely summer project!
When I am prepping for shows and demonstrations I often end up with lots of die-cuts that I don't need for that specific project. I always put them in a special little pot knowing that at some point they will come in useful. That day is today as I decided to put them to good use and decorate this cute watering can full of plants that the children bought me back in March for Mother's Day.
Here are a selection of the die-cuts I had:
I started by adhering them all to some wooden sticks which could then be placed into the plant to add some colour and a touch of summer.
I think they really bring the plant back to life and add some much needed colour.
I have kept the rustic look of the watering can by using garden twine around it and adding a large bow.
I am really please with the way it has turned out and it now take pride of place in my studio!
I would love to know what you have been making lately or see how you use up all those left over die-cuts. Remember to share them with us over on our Facebook page.
Until next week ...
