Colourful Cards by Gerry van Gent
Hello Sizzix Friends and Happy 1st of March!!Can you believe it? It is already March? Time surely flies :-)I am already in a Spring mood and I am absolutely looking forwardto some warm and colourful season like Spring. And by saying thismy projects today are two cards in bright, happy and cheerful colours.* * *My first card is featuring the diamonds Mixed Media die....I basically die cut the diamonds twice on a piece of white cardstock. Then I misted the cardstock and adhered it on top of another white piece of cardstock. After that I tore it diagonally somewhere in the middle -I kind of resized it to fit on the front of my (14 cm x 10 cm) card. The stamped and die cut Word Label was used to decorate the flower.I simply adhered it in the center of the flower.I added glitter for a bit of shiny effect. And my second card today...To make this card I used the Circles dies with approx. sizes 4 1/4" and 3 3/4".* * *I used white cardstock to die cut the Circle with size 3 3/4".Then I die cut the Mixed Media die twice - top and bottom of the circle.Once ready I misted it in green and placed itunderneath another die-cut Circle with size 3 3/4".The Alphanumeric letters were die cut twice using white and red cardstock. The red letters I used as shadow letters.Hope you enjoyed my "Spring-inspired" cards today!Thank you so much for visiting us today!Have a creative Sunday!
Home Decor Frame by Gerry van Gent
Hello Sizzix friends and happy Sunday!Today I prepared for you a home decor framefeaturing two stunning NEW dies by Sizzix. This frame is supereasy to create and it makes it a great present for your....friends :-)The size is 25 cm x 25 cm (approx. 9,9 inches x 9,9 inches)* * *The white background paper was treated with a few colors of spray paint and ink.N.B. The inner frame is 19 cm x 19 cm!Two different stamps were used here:1. A text stamp so it will match my "Friends" title.2. A flourish stamp to match the butterflies - Flowers & butterfliesare always a perfect match .The "friends" title was die-cut twice and adhered on top of each other.I used black cardstock...and because I was missing a bit of "glam" I"painted" the letters by using a black "Sharpie" marker.Love the "shiny" result!Well, I simply love the new Butterflies Die by Tim Holtz. No wonder I made this home decor frame featuring these cuties.I used 4 different pattern papers to die-cut them and then emboss them.Did you know that the Butterfly Duo Bigz die comes with anEmbossing folder so you get this amazing texture on these butterflies?Once the butterflies were die cut and embossed I used sanding paper to distress them...... after that I fussy cut four images so I can decorate the butterflies...OTHER PRODUCTS I USED:Prima Marketing - stencil, clear stampsMaja Design - pattern paperTattered Angels - clear stampsLindy's Stamp Gang SpraysDutch Doobadoo - modeling paste* * *Have a creative Sunday!Gerry
A "Congrats!" Layout by Gerry van Gent
Hello Sizzix peeps!Happy Sunday to all of you ....
Hope you all had a great Valentine's Day with your loved ones!Today I prepared another layout for you using New Sizzix dies and a"touch" of old ones ....a perfect combination :-)
This photo of my son was taken last Summer on his 11th birthday -
a day certainly worth remembering :-) and treasuring on the wall.657826 Sizzix Sizzlits Dec. Strip Die Washer Border* * *To give more dimension and "glam" to the letters from my title Iadded "Dimensional Magic". To be sure the letters won't wrinkle andto make them flat I die cut each letter three times. Then I adhered each letter on top of each other - it makes them now stable.Subsequently I added the three dimensional accent.N.B. I used the exclamation mark as a "body" for the dragonfly. It took 3 hours for the letters to dry!But once dry the result is simply amazing. As a final touch I distressed the letters with ink.The Bookplate was die cut from corrugated cardboard and dark brown pattern paper. When I adhered the pattern paper on top of the corrugated cardboard I distressed thepattern paper with sanding paper. As a result you get "white" spots -these white spots I painted with blue paint.I did almost the same with the die cut pattern paper matting the photo.First I die cut the paper by using one of the NEW Mixed Media dies. Then I painted the edges with gesso and once drie I painted with blue paint.I used this flower shape to decorate my embellishments.I hope you enjoyed my project today!Have a creative Sunday!

"Captured Moments" Card by Gerry van Gent
Hello Sizzix friends! It's Sunday and I am back with another project I created for you.
For today's post I prepared a card using a few Sizzix dies.658551 Sizzix Sizzlits Decorative Strip Die* * *Once I die cut the stems with leaves from the Roses Flower Set I used them to decoratethe flower clusters. Before adhering them I used a white pen and drew round the edges.N.B. The stem & leaves on the right side of the card were die cut twice andadhered partially on top of each other. From the Ironwork Gate I used only a bit as decoration. The Curly Gate was die cut twice - once using white cardstock andsecond time using some corrugated cardboard.I used the corrugated cardboard die-cut as a shadow.I glued the filmstrip fristly only in the beginning and the end. Then I partially adhered parts of the filmstrip to give this "dancing" feeling. As a final touch I added the buckle.OTHER PRODUCTS I USED:The Scrapbook Diaries Clear StampsKaiserCraft papersTim Holtz stencilPrima Marketing flowers* * *Have a creative Sunday!

Hello Sizzix peeps!Hope you are all enjoying a relaxed Sunday!Today I want to share with you a canvas I createdusing awesome Sizzix dies. Scrapping on canvas is anabsolute pleasure for me for the last years.
So here is one I created especially for you :-)657495 Sizzix On the Edge Die Butterflight* * *For the die Moroccan Card Front I used black cardstock in order to havecontrast to my pastel coloured background. Once it was die cut I separatedit in a few pieces and added as decoration to the photo. When I die cut the butterflies I carefully fussy cut three of themso I can use them separately on my project! To make my project even more personal I hand made some of the flowersby using the super awesome die Tattered Florals.I chose brown fabric canvas which I combined with some white lace and ...of course a brad to fasten the pieces altogether.I also die cut two small flowers extra to use them on the canvas. The two hearts were stamped and die cut with Love, Hugs & Hearts Die set.* * *I hope you enjoyed my canvas today!Have a creative day!
Memories from Wrexham by Gerry
Hello Sizzix friends!
Today's project is about me :-)
I don't know about you but I often take selfies so I can share them online.
This photo is one of my favourite selfies and a special one because it was
taken in Wrexham when I visited for the first time Sizzix Europe headquarters.
And of course for my favourite photo I had to use my favourite Sizzix products! As a base for my A4 layout I used the cardboard back of our old family agenda -yes, I never throw cardboard! You can use it in various ways.* * *Love how the Spring Greenery branches matchthe fussy cut branches from the pattern paper.I used the small die-cut circles from the Tag & Bookplate to decorateall over the layout - I simply die cut them in different colours andadhered them on my project.I cut two small ends of the Ironwork Gate and coloured them in black. Then I glued them on top of the other ends -in this way I wanted to have more contrast and alsoto match the rest of the "blacks" on the layout.I die cut the doily by using two different pattern papers. One of the pattern papers I used for the doily itself andthe circle where I stamped the quote. From the black pattern paper I used only the circle for the layout.I cut into two and used half underneath the other as a shadow.Other Products I used:Webster's Pages Pattern PaperStamps - Donna Downey, Pink Paisley, Prima MarketingA fussy cut bird - Prima Marketing pattern paper* * *I hope you enjoyed my project today!Have a creative Sunday!
