Happy Sunday everyone!
Today I`d love to share with you a layout I created about me.
Being a mum is one of the greatest things that happened in my life.
So I decided to create a layout about how proud I am being a mum.
And yes, Mother's Day is just around the corner :-)

To create this layout I used only decorative strip dies.
What I usually do to make my background is to stamp and mask.
This time I decided not to get messy with mediums but
to use dies instead.
I used white cardstock for all the die-cuts.
In this way they pop and they draw attention right away :-)
Isn`t this Decorative Hearts strip die simply adorable?
And so perfect for making a project for your mum or your loved one!
After die-cutting it once I cut & used three of the hearts separately.
I`m so in love with the Cobblestones strip die -
no wonder you can see me using it often.
For this layout I die-cut the strip die only once and it was more than enough to
decorate all over the page. I cut it into pieces with different sizes.

Hello Sizzix Friends!
It's Sunday and I`m again here to share with you
a new project I created with a few Sizzix Dies.

This is a card a created for a girl who is totally
into princesses and fairytales. She loves wearing crowns
and I thought that would be the perfect addition to my present.

I die-cut the crown twice - once from pattern paper and once from cardstock to make it more stable.
To make the card more fairy I added ornate elements from both dies - Ornate Hanging Sign and
Baroque Ornament. Then I placed the crown among the ornament die-cuts.

The butterfly looks pretty "full" and that's because I cut it a few times and adhered them altogether.
To be more precise I cut the big butterfly 4 times and the small one 3 times.

Hallo Sizzix vrienden!
Het is zondag en ik wil graag een nieuw project met jullie delen
waarin ik Sizzix Dies heb gebruikt.

Deze kaart heb ik voor een meisje gemaakt dat houdt van prinsesjes en
sprookjes. Ze is dol op kroontjes en ik vond dat deze kaart prachtig bij mijn cadeautje paste.

I stanste de kroon tweemaal, 1 keer met patroonpapier en een keer met cardstock om het meer stabiel te maken. Om de kaart meer "betoverd" te maken heb ik gekrulde elementen van beide stansen toegevoegd - Ornate Hanging Sign en Baroque Ornament.
Vervolgens heb ik de kroon tussen de gestanste ornamenten geplaatst.

De vlinder ziet er "vol" uit en dat is omdat ik het een aantal keer heb gestanst en ze aan elkaar heb vastgeplakt. Om precies te zijn, ik heb de grote vlinder 4x gestanst en de kleine 3 maal.

Happy Sunday Sizzix Friends!
I`m here today to share with you a layout.
It`s a clean one where I mostly played
with the Garden Vine Decorative die which
I used to create my own Spring garden :-)

As an addition to the Fancy Rectangle Frame I added on the left side
a piece of the Ornate Hanging Sign die.

All the flourishes you see on the page were die cut from the Garden Vine die.
It was die-cut 4 times - once using white cardstock and three times using
different colours pattern paper. After that I cut the die itself into
many pieces and matched different flowers together.
As a final touch I added to the centres pearls.

Vandaag wil ik weer een layout met jullie te delen.
Dit is een simpele pagina waar ik meestal met de Garden
Vine Decorative stans heb gespeeld en
vervolgens mij eigen garden gecreëerd heb.

Ik heb het Ornate Hanging Sign toegevoegd aan de linkerkant
van het Fancy Rectangle Frame stans.

* * *

Alle bloemen op deze layout heb ik gestanst uit de Garden Vine standje.
Het is vier maal gestanst, eenmaal gebruik makend van witte cardstock en
driemaal gebruik makend patroonpapier van verschillende kleuren. Daarna heb ik de stans zelf in stukjes gesneden en bloemen met verschillende kleuren bij elkaar vastgelijmd.
Als een finishing touch heb ik de parels in het midden van de bloemen toegevoegd.

I used corrugated cardboard and cardstock and added

I love how the quote stamp/die fits & suits perfectly the globe.
The Cobblestones strip die was used as background.

I die cut the ornate part of the sign and I cut exactly in the middle.
Both parts were used to decorate the sides of the tag.

Hello Sizzix friends!
Happy Easter from my family to yours!
Today I have for you a little gift I made for somebody special.
I used the Pocket Watch Frame Die as a base and
I hope you will like it and get inspired.

This is what I did:
1. I used peel cardboard 1.5 mm ( or you can use corrugated cardboard)
to make your project stable and pattern paper of your choice.
Both were die cut together....

2. As a result I had both inside circles almost cut.
I used a craft knife to cut them completely and separate them from the frame.

3. After that I die cut once again the Pocket Watch Frame but
this time using another pattern paper and I gave texture with
the gorgeous Trellis embossing folder .
Then carefully sanded the embossed trellis.
N.B. If you use only pattern paper you don't
get the "pre-cut" circle!

4. Now I have all three parts of my base and they are
ready to be adhered in the order as shown on the photo below....
Once everything is adhered you can sand the frame and
add e.g. Glossy Accents.

5. I die cut the oval Bookplate and used only the oval itself
so I can stamp my quote.
N.B. I tried to use not too much ink so when I stamp it
it would look more vintage.
Now you can decorate with embellishments
of your choice!

Dit is wat ik gedaan heb:
1. Ik heb pelkarton 1,5 mm (golfkarton mag ook) gebuikt om het project stabiel te maken, samen met patroonpapier dat je naar eigen keuze kan uitzoeken. Beiden zijn samen gestanst...

2. Het resultaat is dat de 2 binnenste cirkels bijna geheel uitgesneden zijn
Met een hobby mes heb ik ze helemaal uitgesneden en van het frame losgemaakt.
* * *
3. Daarna heb zakhorloge frame nog een keer gestanst, maar deze keer met patroonpapier.
Vervolgens heb ik het ge-embossed met de prachtige Trellis embossing folder
Met schuurpapier heb ik het reliëf bewerkt.
* * *
4. Nu heb ik alle 3 delen van mijn basis en zijn ze klaar om vastgemaakt te worden zoals getoond is op de foto. Zodra alles vastzit kun je het frame schuren en bijvoorbeeld de Glossy Accents toevoegen

5. Ik heb de ovale Bookplate gestanst en alleen het ovaal zelf gebruikt zodat ik mijn quote kan stempelen.

P.S. Ik heb geprobeerd om niet teveel inkt te gebruiken bij het stempelen zodat het er meer "vintage" uitziet. Nu kun je alles decoreren met de embellishments van je eigen keuze

Hello Sizzix friends!
Gerry's here today with some Easter inspiration.
I have two Easter Baskets to share with you today which
I made for my kids. These baskets will be part of their decoration
during their Easter breakfast at school.

I used peel cardboard (1.5mm) to die cut the base for the basket.
Then I chose pattern papers to "dress it up".
I sanded the edges of each side of the basket.
To make the Flower Burst w/Ribbon more stable I die cut it three times -
twice using white cardstock and once using pattern paper.
Then I adhered them to one another.

I added Pearl Drops and a paper flower on top.
I also inked a little bit the edges.
The Regal Edging strip die was cut as normal.
I removed one of the die-cut pattern as I needed 4 for one basket.
Fold in 4 so it will look quadratic and adhere only in the middle
of each side of the basket.
Add a twine and a flower to the front side.

Die cut the Vintage Doily and adhere underneath each basket.

Hello Sizzix Friends!
I`m here today to share with you my latest Sizzix project.
On the photos (taken in April, 2012) my daughter is
enjoying a Barbie Magazine and making her "dress" wish list ;-)
I can`t wait for Spring to come - love all the blossoming flowers and
all the freshness and colours. And to get into the Spring mood
I created my layout..."Spring Time"

I chose light pink pattern paper to emboss the dress form.
Once it was embossed I fussy cut only the right side and the bottom one.
I inked the embossed parts with (old rose colour) ink
and added pearl drops to the dress form as a final touch.
The flowers were die cut from from the pattern paper & white cardstock.

Butterflies were die cut twice by using two different pattern papers

I love the cute little circles from the New Thinlits Flowers, Intricate.
You can not only use them for the centres of your flowers
but also to make them part of your background. And this is how I used them...
I chose different colours pattern papers and die cut all five sizes.
Then randomly adhered them on my white background.

Ik heb een licht roze patroon papier gekozen voor het Dress Form Set.
Toen deze klaar was heb ik alleen langs de rechter en onderkant geknipt.
Daarna heb ik inkt en pearl drops aangebracht.

De bloemen zijn gestanst uit het patroon papier en de witte cardstock.

* * *
Ik ben gek op de schattige kleine cirkeltjes van de New Thinlits Flowers, Intricate.
Je kunt ze zowel voor het midden van de bloemen als decoratie voor de achtergrond gebruiken. En dat heb ik dus ook gedaan. Ik heb verschillende kleuren patroon papier gebruikt en alle 5 beschikbare maten gebruikt. Vervolgens heb ik ze willekeurig aangebracht op mijn witte achtergrond.

My very first step was to frame the photo.
I combined these two embossing frames ...
When I embossed the frame I removed the rectangle
and adhered the frame on top of my photo.
Roses & Frame Set
When I embossed the flower frame I fussy cut
very carefully he thin frame including the flourish.
Then I "wrapped" the frame with it.
Tree & Flower Frame Set

The dragonfly was die-cut twice - once using white cardstock
and once pattern paper. For my project I used the one from the
white cardstock decorated with pieces of the pattern paper die-cut dragonfly.
Then it was treated with a few colours ink.

I actually didn`t use the dragonfly as a dragonfly but to decorate
the gorgeous heart from the new Thinlits Dies Collection.
For the heart I used two sorts of pattern paper. The last layer (the dark one)
was painted with Transparent Crackle Paint.

The camera was first cut out of corrugated cardboard and after that
once again I used two different pattern papers to dress it up.
I used a swirly stamp to decorate on the right side and I added pearl drops.
I also painted the dark pattern paper with transparent Crackle Paint.

Mijn eerste stap was om een lijstje voor de foto te creëren.
Ik heb deze twee reliëf lijstjes gecombineerd.
Toen heb ik het lijstje in reliëf gemaakt en heb ik de rechthoek uitgeknipt
en het lijstje op de foto geplakt.
Roses & Frame Set
Ik heb het reliëf bloemenframe voorzichtig uitgeknipt - inclusief de bloemen!
Daarna heb ik het frame om het andere reliëf frame gewikkeld.
Tree & Flower Frame Set

Om de libel te stansen heb ik witte cardstock gebruikt en
patroon papier. Ik heb de libel uit de witte cardstock gebruikt
voor mijn pagina en versierd met het patroon papier.
Vervolgens bewerkt met inkt.
* * *

Eigenlijk heb ik de libel gebruikt om het hart van het
nieuwste Thinlits Dies Collection te versieren.
Ik heb weer twee verschillende soorten patroon papier
gebruikt. Op het donkere papier heb ik doorzichtig "crackle" verf gebruikt.
* * *
Het fototoestel was gestanst eerst uit golfkarton en vervolgens
versierd met patroon papier. De rechter kant heb ik gestempeld en
versierd met Pearl Drops. De donkere patroon papier is met doorzichtig
Crackle Paint geverfd.

This is Gerry here today to share with you my latest layout

For the Damask border (Damask & Scallop Borders), which was die-cut twice,
I used white cardstock. The "doily" part was carefully cut from the
lattice one and used as layers on my project.
In this way, I gave three different looks of the Damask Border.
Damask & Scallop Borders
The Scallop Border was die-cut also twice - this time I used
different pattern papers. I layered them on top of each other.
I cut the leaves from the decorative strip and used them
separately to decorate the flowers.

The top part of the frame (Frames, Fancy Rectangle) was
cut and placed separately behind the lattice layer.

Om het Damask & Scallop Borders twee keer te stansen heb ik
witte cardstock gebruikt. Het "doily" stuk heb ik voorzichtig uitgeknipt uit
het raster en daarna heb ik ze als laagjes voor mijn pagina gebruikt.
Op deze manier heb ik drie verschillende uitzichten van het Damask & Scallop Borders laten zien.

De schelp rand is ook twee keer gestanst - deze keer heb ik patroon papier gebruikt.
De twee laagjes heb ik op elkaar geplaatst en vervolgens geplakt.

Ik heb de blaadjes apart geknipt en vervolgens gebruikt
om de bloemen te versieren.

Het bovenste stuk van het lijstje (Frames, Fancy Rectangle) is geknipt
en daarna achter de rooster laagje geplakt.

It`s Sunday and I`m here today to share with you
how I created a card using one of the new Thinlits die cuts
as a base for a doily card.
SUPPLIES LIST:

INSTRUCTIONS:
STEP 1:
As a base for your card prepare folded in two white cardstock with size 13 x 13 cm.
Place on top the Thinlits Doily Die...
Make sure that the doily die comes above the top folded part of the cardstock!
In this way the two doilies will be connected to each other!
This is what the result should be once it's ready.
STEP 2:
Use pattern paper to die-cut different embellishments for your card.
N.B. The ornate part of the Hanging Sign Die was cut twice
- Once using pattern paper and once using white cardstock.
- Remove parts of both sides so they won't come out of the card
N.B. I didn`t use all the die-cuts you see on the photo below.
STEP 3:
Create your own background on front of the card by using a floral
stamp, embossing ink, embossing powder and ink (of your choice).
Add Liquid Pearls for decoration.
I left the back side of the card natural i.e. white.
STEP 4:
Decorate your card with the die-cuts.
Adhere by using not only glue but also foam squares
which will give a perfect dimension on your card.
STEP 5:
Die-cut the phrase "For You" once using white cardstock
and once using black cardstock.
Use the black die-cut phrase as a shadow.

Het is zondag vandaag en ik wil graag een kaart met jullie delen.
Ik heb een van de nieuwe Thinlits stansjes als basis gebruikt om deze kaart te creëren.

INSTRUCTIES:
STAP 1:
Bereid als basis voor je kaart een gevouwde witte cardstock voor met maat 13x13cm.
Plaats het Thinlits Doily Die op de dubbele cardstock

Zorg er voor dat de doily stans boven de cardstock geplaatst wordt.
Op deze manier zijn de twee doilies met elkaar verbonden.

Dit is wat het resultaat zou moeten zijn als het klaar is.

STAP 2:
Gebruik patroon papier om verschillende gestanst embellishments te stansen voor je kaart.
N.B. Het ornaat stukje van het Hanging Sign Die is twee keer gestanst
- een keer met patroon papier en een keer met witte cardstock
- verwijder de kleine eind stukjes

N.B. Ik heb niet alle gestanste stukjes op de foto hieronder gebruikt.

STAP 3:
Maak je eigen achtergrond op de voorkant van de kaart met behulp van een florale stamp,
embossing inkt, embossing poeder en inkt (naar keuze).
Bijvoegen Liquid Pearls om te versieren.

Ik heb de achterkant van de kaart wit gelaten.

STAP 4:
Versier je kaart met de uitgestanste stukjes.
Gebruik niet alleen lijm maar ook vierkantjes van foam.
- op deze manier krijg je meer dimensie.

STAP 5:
Stans een keer de uitdrukking "For You" op wit papier en een keer op zwart papier.
Gebruik de zwarte uitdrukking als een schaduw.
