Hello everyone! How are you? This is Deepti Stephens and I'm here today with a fun and pretty Easter card made with Sizzix Bigz Die item #A10675 - Cat, Dog, Pig, Rabbit.
Easter is just around the corner and I know many of you will be busy making things for Easter. I also started making a few cards for my family and friends.
I took a standard sized top folding card and another panel which is slightly smaller than the main card base and Ink Smooshed the background with Spun Sugar Distress ink. This is one of the popular techniques right now in the craft industry.
Instead of spraying water on to the acetate, I flicked some water droplets because I found it's very easy to smoosh and I will have great control over water and also it gives such pretty texture to the background. Later I flicked some Black Soot Distress Ink and Gold Paint on to the panel for some extra interest!
Do you love adding a purely handmade element on to your projects? I LOVE to! I made these straw or twigs or branches, whatever you call it - I made them using pieces of scrap papers.
I cut the scraps into tiny strips and water colored a few with Vintage Photo and Ink Blended the other few with Frayed Burlap Distress Inks. You can use both techniques. Both will work just fine! And you can use colored card stocks if you like!
I ran the die through the Big Shot Machine Item #660020 and diecut the bunny rabbit with Sizzix Bigz Die item# A10675 - Cat, Dog, Pig, Rabbit and water-colored it with Broken China Distress Ink. Once everything is dry and ready I adhered the straw and the bunny on to the card panel. And added stickles to the bunny.
I adhered a few washi tapes on to the main card base, Stamped the sentiment with Archival Jet Black Ink and embellished the card with a few sequins!
I hope you enjoyed watching the video and I hope you feel inspired to create something for this Easter with Sizzix Bigz Die item #A10675 - Cat, Dog, Pig, Rabbit. Thank you so much for stopping by. Take care and I will see you soon! :)
