Good morning, Jenny from the gingerbread house blog here with a new Spring project and a fun way to use your Sizzix Bigz Alphabet Uppercase Sassy Serif Letter Dies.
Some of my favourite dies are the Sizzix Bigz Alphabet Uppercase Dies in Sassy Serif. They are really useful and I've used them in lots of projects around the home.
With the weather getting warmer my children have been venturing outside more and more. They love to play in our sand pit so I made them their very own personalised sand castle flags.
I used:
Sizzix Bigz Alphabet Uppercase Die - Sassy Serif Letter "E" (654720)
Sizzix Bigz Alphabet Uppercase Die - Sassy Serif Letter "N" (654729)
vintage map
coloured card
glue dots
knitting needles
First I cut out a letter on my Sizzix Big Shot Plus using my Sassy Serif Letter "E" and "N" dies and an old vintage map.
From a pretty contrasting card I cut two flag shapes. I attached my cut outs to the card flags using glue dots.
I carefully punched two holes at the top and bottom of the left side of each card flag and threaded a knitting needle through. This meant each flag was really strong to withstand the great British weather!
Whilst we were away at the beach I presented my children with their personalised sand castle flags and they had great fun with them. We'll be taking them home to continue the fun! Have a great weekend.
