Daily inspiration from our bloggers

_DSC5829Geometric patterns have been all the rage for some time now so lets have a bit of fun with a couple of our new Mini Framelits dies.

The die set is....Sizzix Framelits Die Set 2PK - Little Bunting (661780)

OneAfter choosing some of my favourite Distress Inks (Hickory Smoke, Tumbled Glass, Scattered Straw, Worn Lipstick and Fossilised Amber) I dragged them across some smooth white card before die-cutting my triangles. I printed the sentiments onto the card using my PC, they are all Elvis Presley song lyrics and why not?

I marked some faint pencil lines onto the base card as a guide and applied the triangles one at a time._DSC5820Love the effect that dragging the ink pads across the paper gives me._DSC5823Same principle, slightly different angle.twoFor the next card I used some gold transfer foil which I applied to white card before die-cutting several of the small triangles. This time, I used Tattered Rose, Iced Spruce and Hickory Smoke Distress inks and applied them to the card as before._DSC5826I love the colours on this one, I think we have a winner!

Thanks for stopping by, see you all again soon
