Hello everyone! This is Deepti Stephens and today I'm going to share how to create a Faux Embossed Background with Garden Green Thinlits. You can absolutely create this background with any dies that you own! I love this thinlit set a lot, so many variations of leaves and I think this set is perfect for this season! So let's get started.
The Sizzix products I used are
The other products are
- White Card Stock
- Distress Inks - Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed and Vintage Photo
- Adhesive
- Vellum Card Stock
- Stamp Set
- Archival Jet Black Ink
- Golden String
- Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter pen and
- Sequins
Procedure
Gather all your supplies. I LOVE this leaf thinlit very much. I just feel like I wanted to use this on all of my projects!
Now, die cut a bunch of leaves by running the die through the Big Shot Plus Machine.
Faux Embossed Background
Adhere all the leaves randomly on the white card base. This creates a tone on tone and Faux Embossed look.
Now water color the leaves in two tones, this creates so much depth to the leaves! I used Spiced Marmalade and Festive Berries for the first one, Mustard Seed and Picked Raspberry for the second one and Spiced Marmalade and Mustard Seed for the third one!
Next I tapped the Black Soot Distress ink splatters with a paint brush.
Now adhere all the leaves on to the card base along with the golden string. Take a vellum card stock, tear it for an interesting look.
Stamp the sentiment on to the vellum with Archival Jet Black Ink. Also I have added generous amount of Wink of Stella clear glitter pen for the leaves.
Finally added a few sequins! And that finishes the card for today. I hope you like it. Thank you so much for stopping by. Take care and I will see you soon! Bye!
